New Refurbished Mixer

I bought this in October so I would have it for Thanksgiving and Christmas cooking and baking - I used it once and when I went to use it on Thanksgiving, it would not work - the motor would not spin and it sounded horrible. Tried calling today as they were not open on Friday or Saturday because of the holiday, could not get through for 25 minutes and when I did, I was told I need a different department and put on hold again, this time the wait was for 79 minutes...the online chat feature is worse as that had a 154 minute wait to talk to someone. This is very poor for a company that is suppose to be excellent. The mixer I am replacing was a used Kitchen Aid mixer, not refurbished, that I bought 20 years ago. This the my first time dealing with Kitchen Aid directly, so far, I am not impressed.

I got this as a bridal shower gift from my mom. I make home made pastries and cakes quite often and was using a hand mixer. This has completely changed everything! It makes everything so much easier! It can be a bit on the loud side but compared to my old hand mixer it's much quieter and I it's much easier to add ingredients. When I first got it the paddle attachment hit the side of the bowl, but customer service sent me a new attachment with no issues. Waiting to try out that one, but when I put ingredients in with the original paddle it no longer hit the side. Other than that it's been a breeze to use. Highly recommend.

Bought for my wife about 2 months ago and she loves it! She's had an artisan series for over 6 years and it works well for cakes. But now that she's gotten into baking breads, especially while grains, she'd complain that the old mixer had trouble mixing the thicker doughs. Well, the Pro 600 handles it all with ease. I just bought this mixer recently to replace a smaller one i had purchased many years ago. I am very happy I did! I've used it for bread, pizza dough, banana bread, mashed potatoes, whipped cream and many other things. It is the 575 watt model so it has plenty of power to do anything I would need a stand mixer for. I have purchased a few attachments including a meat grinder and a slicer/shredder. Very happy with the quality. I highly recommend this product!

I was so excited to receive my KitchenAid mixer. I've used them for work a lot and thought my home projects would get faster and less messy. Not really. The motor is louder than any I've used before. It's not strong enough to use the dough hook, so I'm still doing all kneading by hand. I will not be purchasing the extruding/grinder attachment for fear uselessness. This is the first KitchenAid I've experienced overheating and it struggles to keep the bowl locked in. High speed is also slower than any other unit. I am so disappointed. I'm sorry my bf wasted the money on this well intentioned gift. Years of wanting my own model and finally getting one made me feel that I'm better off completing my home projects the old fashioned way.

This has been on my wish list forever. I'm so glad that I waited till now and that I owe for the refurbished model because it was less money for more mixing capacity and I know for a fact that all of my mixer's components have been thoroughly tested. You'd never know this unit was refurbished, because it's almost too beautiful to use. I'm super happy with my purchase.
