I bought this beater several months ago and have used it to mix various things. Just today while making an apple cake I noticed the edge had separated. Hope they will replace it for me.

DOESN'T FIT KP26M1X, despite Product "Help" Page

The Product Help page (https://producthelp.kitchenaid.com/Countertop_Appliances/Stand_Mixers/Stand_Mixer_Tips_and_Tricks/Which_Flex_Edge_Beater_Fits_My_Mixer%3F) says "Fits select wide mouth 5 quart and all 6 quart mixers: KD2661, KL26M, KP26M1, KP26M8, KP26N9, KV25G, KV25M." I have a KP26M1X. The KitchenAid site doesn't even have any product results for a KP26M1, so I figured that the KP26M1X is just some more specific model number.
When this arrived, though, I have found that it consistently leaves more than 1/4" of product stuck on the sides of the bowl; it's too small to actually scrape the bowl. If I adjust the bowl height to get it to *partially* scrape the bowl, then my other attachments like the dough hook and whip scrape the bowl and make a horrible noise.
This is either a documentation fail or a poorly designed product. Very disappointed.

Got this for a christmas present and was disappointed did not fit my bowl at all and I don't see where I can get one that fits my model (KSM6573)

I have been trying to get this flex beater for a year now...have sent 2 back to various vendors. Costomer support gives me a model KFEW6L when ordered does not fit...twice. Now I see on the web site while ordering directly from KitchenAid and I get this bit of info: Product Overview
6-QUART FLEX EDGE BEATER
Reduce mixing time and the need to scrape ingredients down the side of the bowl when you're mixing with this beater, which features a flexible edge that thoroughly scrapes ingredients into the bowl. Fits models KD2661, KL26M, KP26M1 (excludes model: KP26M1XFQ which is my model number...DUH. I can live without this item but it would be nice. I have many attachments for my unit but I may have purchased my last piece.

I used the model number of my mixer to make sure I got the right size beater. It is SMALLER than the beater that comes with the mixer. It is farther from the bowl and shorter than the original beater. I want something to scrape the bowl. Kitchen Aid customer service assured me that this scraper beater should work and sent a second one, claiming that the wrong one must have been sent. They sent the same exact beater again and now I have to ship two beaters back to them. Their policy is that the customer pays for shipping. I better not have to pay to ship back products that they are selling that are manufactured with the wrong specs. They obviously don't know that this beater really doesn't fit the bowl. Don't bother trying. It's the wrong size.

Got as a Christmas gift. Doesn't fit even though model number is correct. Called kitchen aid and they sent me a replacement. NOTE: their customer service is great. However replacement won't fit. Now I have two beaters, neither fits mixer. What to do??

My husband bought me a new kitchen aid pro 600 for Christmas just so i could get the flex edge beater attachment. (This attachment was not available for my kitchen aid mixer). I really love my mixer and the flex edge beater. The only thing i do not like about the Flex edge beater is that the coating keeps flaking off. i am now on my 3rd beater. I wish that kitchen aid would make a burnished flex edge beater that is uncoated.

I waited so long for the flex edge beater, for the 6 qt bowl. I guess I should have waited longer. My model is the KP26M1XFQOB, It is so tight in the bowl it wouldn't even go on properly, never mind trying to turn the mixer on. As a mater of fact, I'm not even crazy about the 6 qt lift mixer. The shield to put the ingredients thru does not fit properly, keeps coming off (and I have tried more than one), it also doesn't get all the ingredients mixed on the bottom of the bowl, even adjusting the bowl. I'm totally disappointed with it all !! I would have been happier spending all that money on a new TV or tires for my car. My mixer is now another dust collector, an expensive one I might add. I'm sorry I gave it a one star rating, but zero stars isn't an option.

I received this for my birthday and it is too small. My model number matches but there is about an inch from the bottom of the attachment to the bottom of the bowl.

My husband got me this got my new lift mixer but it does not fit it hits the side of the bowl I will be returning. I replaced my 4.5 qt stand mixer with this because i bake so much and i had the same attachment for that size and it worked great so I wanted a new one for my new mixer really bummed it doesnt fit it to wide.

I used a gift card from Christmas to purchase this very pricey little tool. Thought it would be awesome, no more getting my spatula in the bowl, but boy was I wrong. Put on, didn't seem to fit right from the get go. Turned mixer on stir and bam, it scuffed the side and bottom of my bowl. I double checked the box and the model number of my mixer and it says it's the right one. Not sure what to do, scratched bowl and still no attachment. Model KP26M1XFQOB

I bought this for my daughter for Christmas. I made sure it was for the lift mixer and for a 6 quart Metal bowl. When she used it ,it was to tight for the bowl and it kept hitting the edges and at times would stop the mixer. We are returning it back to the store we purchased it at.

If you look it don't have any cross bars inside of it like the other ones for different size mixers they have. It does not mix the ingredients good. had sugar lumps in the bottom and if you put on speed for the shoot the mixture out every where... I use speed for all the time with the blade that came with the mixer and no problem. Bad design.....

The white coating started chipping off during use, so I can't use it anymore, and had to throw out that batch of batter. I'm almost positive I bought it just over a year ago, so it would no longer be under warranty, and I'm not sure what caused it to start chipping unless it hit the side of the bowl somehow. I have mixed emotions because for the past year I absolutely loved the flex edge beater, and used it ALL the time with my mixer, but I'm disappointed it only lasted a year before chipping.

doesn't fit all 6qts

Just bought this beater. Place of purchase said it was for my 6qt 600 Series. It is not. Very disappointed. I bought it the night before I used it. Stuck the beater on, turned on my mixer and boom!! The mixer stopped, the beater wedged against the side. I immediately turned off the mixer and then had to fight with the beater to get it to release off of the mixer. Not only was it not for my mixer but it scratched my glass bowl in several spots. Soooo not happy. Wish the associate would have had a little more knowledge about which beater is for which series. Hopefully I will be able to get a refund. Scratched bowl will stay scratched I guess...

I got this for my Professional 6-Quart Bowl-Lift mixer about a year ago. It helps With creaming butter while it scrapes the sides of the bowl. It gets all way to the bottom of the bowl and up to the top,it helps a lot with smaller batches that seems to be when I have to scrape the sides more. It saves some much time not having to stop the mixer and scrape the sides of the bowl all the time. this is such a great product.
